Fir Chlis, Harris

2010

This house on the Isle of Harris forms a new addition to a small hamlet on the west of the island. Taking inspiration from the surrounding farm buildings, the simple dark stained Larch and Caithness stone clad walls, along with profile metal roofing, contain the inverted accommodation, with the bedrooms on the ground floor and living space on the upper floor, making best use of the spectacular west-facing views across the beach to the Island of Taransay.
