Pittencrieff, Dunfermline

2009

This project for Fife Council was part of a feasibility study exploring how two listed buildings in Pittencrieff Park might be adapted, altered and extended to improve the existing facilities in both buildings for use by the public, with specific reference to DDA requirements.

As part of this study we proposed a new oak-clad lift tower to the rear of the A-Listed Pittencrieff House to allow access to all levels, and a new café/kitchen extension to the B-Listed Glen Pavillion to allow it to be used to its capacity. Our report highlighted the need for the sensitive renovation and repair of both buildings, and for any new strategy to reduce their running costs and energy requirements.
